All my cats live indoors with me, however they do like a bit of fresh air and exercise. I strongly disagree with the idea of letting my Siamese and Oriental Cats roam outside and being able to mix with other cats that are not inoculated, plus our roads are just not safe enough. A safe cat is an indoor cat and for this reason I had a run and cat quarters built (lucky I have sons). I have constructed the cat run directly on the back of my house, surrounding my window, so my cats can decide for themselves just when they want to be inside or outdoors. Naturally I can use the door on the outside of the cat run to get in and out as my days of being to be able to climb through windows are long gone!
I also have the interior part of the cat run heated as Siamese and Oriental Cats just love heat! |
